WASP, DJ Jahmar attack with release of ‘Remember’

Written by on October 6, 2026

Twelve Tribes Entertainment continues to build momentum for its “Book of Micah Riddim” with “Remember,” the new collaboration between Jamaican dancehall artist WASP (Above Average) and producer DJ Jahmar.

Released Sept. 18 via Shinealous Records, powered by Symphonic Distribution, “Remember” was added to Apple Music’s “Pressure Drop” playlist upon its release, according to Caribbean entertainment publicist Flair Lindsey, of Acclaim PR.

She said the single is accompanied by two music videos — a raw version and a clean version — giving selectors, radio programmers, and fans a version suited for every setting.

Lindsey said “Remember” marks the latest chapter in the “Book of Micah Riddim,” which Twelve Tribes Entertainment and DJ Jahmar launched in August 2026 with Edley Shine’s “Broken Dolly.”

“The new release pairs WASP’s distinctive delivery with DJ Jahmar’s production as the series continues to unfold one entry at a time,” she said, stating that WASP injects storytelling style into “Remember.”

“When I got the riddim, I heard a particular sound in it, and that specific sound inspired the song ‘Remember,’” WASP said. “What I brought to the riddim was my storytelling style. I think that is one of my strong points — being able to tell a vivid story.”

Lindsey said WASP and DJ Jahmar have worked together for about five years.

She said their connection began while WASP was promoting a collaboration with Vybz Kartel and reaching out to DJs for support.

“The connection between me and DJ Jahmar came about when I had a collaboration with Vybz Kartel that I was promoting at the time,” WASP said. “I reached out to every disc jockey possible, and Jahmar was one of them. I sent the song to him, he requested a dub, and from that day we maintained the connection.”

Lindsey said this is not the first time WASP and DJ Jahmar have joined forces.

She said the pair previously teamed up for “Badmon Money,” featuring dancehall veteran Cutty Ranks, Born Jamericans founding member Edley Shine, and Shan Hill.

Lindsey said the collaboration has accumulated more than two million streams across digital platforms.

She said DJ Jahmar and Cutty Ranks also connected on “Top Shottas,” which was added to Spotify’s official Dancehall Official editorial playlist, further cementing the producer’s footprint in the genre’s current wave.

With “Remember” earning placement on Apple Music’s “Pressure Drop” playlist upon release, Lindsey said the “Book of Micah Riddim” continues to reach new audiences across major digital platforms.
