{"id":6014,"date":"2026-10-06T16:05:50","date_gmt":"2026-10-06T16:05:50","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/islandflavaradio.com\/index.php\/2026\/10\/06\/dj-bruck-up-remixes-good-life-signs-distribution-deal-with-bbs-entertainment-warner-music-group\/"},"modified":"2026-10-06T16:05:50","modified_gmt":"2026-10-06T16:05:50","slug":"dj-bruck-up-remixes-good-life-signs-distribution-deal-with-bbs-entertainment-warner-music-group","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/islandflavaradio.com\/index.php\/2026\/10\/06\/dj-bruck-up-remixes-good-life-signs-distribution-deal-with-bbs-entertainment-warner-music-group\/","title":{"rendered":"DJ Bruck Up remixes \u2018Good Life,\u2019 signs distribution deal with BBS Entertainment-Warner Music Group"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Harlem-based, Jamaican-born Dancehall DJ Bruck Up, who in the 1990s appeared in music videos by international stars Busta Rhymes \u2014 \u201cPut Your Hands Where My Eyes Can See\u201d and \u201cGone Till November\u201d by Wyclef Jean and Jamaican stars Patra and Snagga Puss \u2014 says he has dropped a remixed version of \u201cGood Life,\u201d featuring hip hop rapper\/singer Ron Browz.<\/p>\n<p>Bruck Up, born George Adams, told Caribbean Life that on Monday, Oct. 5, that the single is being distributed via a strategic partnership and distribution deal he signed with BBS Entertainment\/Warner Music Group\u2019s ADA.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt feels good doing business with an infrastructure that has helped break a lot of great artists,\u201d Bruck Up said. \u201cADA distributes for Jamaican acts Sean Paul, Buju Banton, Beres Hammond, Mavado and mainstream acts Macklemore, Ciara, Jelly Roll and Fast Punk.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Bruck Up said pop star Beyonc\u00e9 honored his legacy by repeating his name in the chorus of her 2022 track \u201cMove.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFor me, it\u2019s another level in the journey,\u201d he said. \u201cI\u2019ve been putting the work in for years. So now, I\u2019m trusting the process and seeing where this opportunity can take the music.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m relentless,\u201d Bruck UP added. \u201cI\u2019ve been doing this for a long time, through every high and low, because I genuinely love what I do.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhen you\u2019re doing something that makes you happy, you keep going even when everybody else might have stopped,\u201d he continued.<\/p>\n<p>Jamar Fatt Mathis, VP Head of A&amp;R, BBS entertainment\/Warner Music Group, believes that persistence \u2014 and BruckUp\u2019s story \u2014 makes him particularly marketable.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019re very confident in Bruck Up,\u201d Mathis said. \u201cHe represents the true grind of today\u2019s music industry. He has longevity, culture, resilience and, most importantly, a real story to tell.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Mathis believes \u201cGood Life\u201d already demonstrated potential but did not receive the promotional support needed during its original release.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe record already had momentum,\u201d he said. \u201cWhat we recognized was that it simply wasn\u2019t marketed and promoted properly during its original release. We believe the record still has room to grow.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Mathis said plans to promote the single include a coordinated promotional rollout aimed at expanding the song\u2019s audience.<\/p>\n<p>But, for Bruck Up, success cannot be measured only by streams and statistics.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSuccess is the love from the people,\u201d Bruck Up said. \u201cNumbers are great, but when I perform the record and I can feel that connection \u2014 the crowd knows it, sings it, dances to it \u2014 that\u2019s when I\u2019ll know we really did something.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Bruck Up said that his sights are now set on an East Coast tour, stretching from Miami to Boston, more recordings and performances, adding that there is also a documentary planned for 2027 that he hopes will connect his emerging recording career with the remarkable dance legacy that first made him a household name.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIf I haven\u2019t stopped yet, I don\u2019t think anybody can stop me now,\u201d he said. \u201cOnly God can judge me.
