Carnegie Hall\u2019s Weill Music Institute (WMI) said on Tuesday, June 16, that, throughout the 2026\u20132027 season, it will present 15 Well-Being Concerts, hour-long concert experiences that combine elements of mindfulness and deep listening with performance in an \u201cimmersive, nurturing space.\u201d<\/p>\n
WMI said the lineup of concerts this season explores music as a shared space for \u201cpresence, connection, and renewal.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cAudiences are invited to discover the subtle ways that sound can shape how we feel, reflect, and relate to one another,\u201d it said.<\/p>\n
WMI said the first in the series of Well-Being Concerts in Carnegie Hall\u2019s Resnick Education Wing takes place on Friday, Oct. 9, with the return of trumpeter Sean Jones, who performs alongside an ensemble of remarkable alums from Carnegie Hall\u2019s NYO Jazz.<\/p>\n
\u201cThis immersive concert reimagines the relationship between audience, artist, and space, inviting listeners to experience jazz as a living conversation that unfolds in unexpected ways,\u201d WMI said.<\/p>\n
The following day, Oct. 10, it said Tony Award-winner Matt Doyle, joined by collaborators, offers a genre-crossing program of songs that move between humor and vulnerability.<\/p>\n
WMI said Well-Being Concert highlights of the 2026\u20132027 season include an immersive solo piano experience exploring flow and focus from Conrad Tao (Dec. 19) and cellist Joshua Roman, joined by vocalist and guitarist Camila Meza and percussionist Zane Rodulfo, who returns for his third Well-Being Concert (Dec. 20).<\/p>\n
In addition, WMI said the series includes a genre-crossing program shaped by migration, memory, and musical dialogue with clarinetist Kinan Azmeh (Feb. 12); Rumbo Tumba, the electroacoustic project of Argentine multi-instrumentalist Facundo Salgado, which transforms wooden instruments into immersive musical journeys (Feb. 13); and flutist Catherine Gregory, percussionist Ian Rosenbaum, and soprano Ariadne Greif collaborating on a program that explores breath, which was originally performed for cancer patients (Feb. 27).<\/p>\n
WMI said viral choral sensation Gaia Collective invites audiences to connect and build community through song \u201cin what is sure to be a moving evening of collective singing\u201d (April 3).<\/p>\n
In the community, WMI said Carnegie Hall collaborates with two New York City institutions to present Well-Being Concerts in iconic NYC spaces next season.<\/p>\n
For the third season, WMI said Carnegie Hall partners with The Cathedral Church of St. John the Divine, presenting Grammy Award-winner \u2014 and Carnegie Hall 2026\u20132027 Perspectives artist\u2014esperanza spalding in a program centered around navigating grief (March 6).<\/p>\n
WMI said the Westerlies, joined by special guest Sam Amidon, draw on folk traditions and improvisation for an \u201cunforgettable evening\u201d in the rotunda of Guggenheim New York (May 7 and 8).<\/p>\n
