Celebrated reggae crooner and multi-instrumentalist Mikey Spice was in fine nick, as he entertained a packed crowd at the Crown Hill Theatre in Brooklyn on Saturday, Oct. 11, during his “Music & Life” concert.<\/span><\/p>\n

Mikey Spice is renowned for hits “Practice What You Preach,” “Born Again,” “I Am I Said,” “Harder Than Before” and his recent country-inspired reggae adaptation of Neil Diamond’s “Forever in Blue Jeans,<\/span>“<\/span> titled “Money Talk.<\/span>“<\/span><\/p>\n

“Good male vocalists are hard to find,<\/span>“<\/span> Jamaican-born, New York-based music historian Winston Smith told <\/span>Caribbean Life<\/span><\/strong>. “Simply put, Mikey Spice is a great vocalist and the Brooklyn audience at Crown Hill Theater got their money’s worth.”<\/span><\/p>\n

Jamaican-born, New Jersey-based WB radio host David “Fat Forward<\/span>“<\/span> Warren agreed, saying Mikey delivered a top-class performance. <\/span><\/p>\n

“I really enjoyed Mikey Spice’s performance. The man can really sing. He brought his unique flavor to the stage and was at the top of his game,<\/span>“<\/span> he said. <\/span><\/p>\n

“He did not disappoint, delivering an unforgettable performance as he engaged fans with original songs from his catalogue and popular covers like Teddy Pendegrass<\/span>‘ <\/span>‘Turn Off The Light,’ ‘It’s So Good,’ among others,<\/span>“<\/span> Warren added.<\/span><\/p>\n

He said he also enjoyed the dancehall group Worl-A-Girl. <\/span><\/p>\n
