{"id":5833,"date":"2025-10-01T17:52:24","date_gmt":"2025-10-01T17:52:24","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/islandflavaradio.com\/index.php\/2025\/10\/01\/kabaka-pyramid-breaks-new-ground-with-historic-performances\/"},"modified":"2025-10-01T17:52:24","modified_gmt":"2025-10-01T17:52:24","slug":"kabaka-pyramid-breaks-new-ground-with-historic-performances","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/islandflavaradio.com\/index.php\/2025\/10\/01\/kabaka-pyramid-breaks-new-ground-with-historic-performances\/","title":{"rendered":"Kabaka Pyramid breaks new ground with historic performances"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Reggae music ambassador and GRAMMY\u00ae Award-winning reggae artist Kabaka Pyramid continues his monumental 2025 world tour with historic Asian performances. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Ronnie Tomlinson, the Jamaican-born, Brooklyn-based entertainment publicist, told <\/span><strong><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Caribbean Life<\/span><\/strong><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> on Monday, Sept. 29, that Kabaka, on Aug. 30, \u201cdelivered a robust set at the ACC X Music Festival in Gwangju, South Korea, marking his debut in the country. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u201cShortly after, he brought his fiery lyrics and roots-reggae energy to Singapore for his first-ever live show there, further expanding reggae\u2019s global reach,\u201d added Tomlinson, CEO of New York-based Destine Media. \u201cThese milestone appearances come as part of Kabaka Pyramid\u2019s ongoing global tour, which will see him perform across more than 10 countries this year.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Kabaka said: \u201cIt\u2019s amazing to see the genuine love that people from so far with rich cultures of their own have for our music and culture. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u201cIn Singapore, people cried tears that I actually reached and performed heights of appreciation,\u201d he added. \u201cKorea was definitely an introduction to the music but with a warm welcome, and, of course, we got them moving and vibing right through the show.\u201d <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Afterwards, Tomlinson said Kabaka joined the Far East Rulers Cruise, a themed reggae and dancehall cruise in Japan, hosted by the internationally-renowned sound system Mighty Crown. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Dubbed \u201cBring Back the Love,\u201d Tomlinson said the cruise sailed from Sept. 11 to 16, with Kabaka bringing his message of truth and revolution to fans at sea.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Kabaka returned to the United States from Asia for a special New York appearance. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">On Sept. 27, Tomlinson said he headlined the Capital One City Parks SummerStage at the Coney Island Amphitheater, Brooklyn, joined by fellow Jamaican star Lila Ik\u00e9. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Tomlinson said the performance was \u201can unforgettable celebration of reggae and roots culture for East Coast fans. \u201d <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Adding to the excitement, Kabaka recently released his latest single \u201cJamaica\u201d, produced by the artist himself under his Bebble Rock label. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u201cThe track is a heartfelt ode to his homeland and a continuation of his reputation for delivering socially conscious, lyrically potent music,\u201d Tomlinson said. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Beyond his work as a recording artist, she said Kabaka has been \u201csteadily building his career as a producer, crafting music for himself and others while pushing reggae\u2019s sound forward. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u201cHis dual role as performer and producer reflects his deep commitment to elevating reggae culture on a global scale,\u201d Tomlinson said.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Reggae music ambassador and GRAMMY\u00ae Award-winning reggae artist Kabaka Pyramid continues his monumental 2025 world tour with historic Asian performances.
