{"id":5819,"date":"2025-09-16T10:51:29","date_gmt":"2025-09-16T10:51:29","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/islandflavaradio.com\/index.php\/2025\/09\/16\/socavivor-to-take-over-miami-carnival-in-october\/"},"modified":"2025-09-16T10:51:29","modified_gmt":"2025-09-16T10:51:29","slug":"socavivor-to-take-over-miami-carnival-in-october","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/islandflavaradio.com\/index.php\/2025\/09\/16\/socavivor-to-take-over-miami-carnival-in-october\/","title":{"rendered":"Socavivor to take over Miami Carnival in October"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/socavivor.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Socavivor<\/a>, the ultimate destination carnival series, is set to take Miami Carnival by storm next month, with six massive events over five days.<\/p>\n<p>Ronnie Tomlinson, the Brooklyn-based, Jamaican-born entertainment publicist, told Caribbean Life that, from Oct. 8 to Oct. 13, \u201ccarnival lovers from across the globe will immerse themselves in the vibrant energy, music, and culture that only Socavivor can deliver.<\/p>\n<p><span>\u201cKnown as \u2018Di Ultimate Carnival Adventure,\u2019 Socavivor has built its reputation on curating unmatched experiences that capture the spirit of Caribbean carnival \u2014 bringing together the best in soca, dancehall, and reggae, while uniting cultures under one rhythm,\u201d Tomlinson, chief executive director of Destine Media, added. \u201cAnd this year, there\u2019s a new way to experience it all \u2014 guests can purchase an exclusive Socavivor armband, granting access to all six events.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>\u201cWith one armband, revelers can go all in: from sunrise breakfast parties to late night cultural celebrations, non-stop vibes await at every turn,\u201d she continued.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Tomlinson said the festivities kick off on Oct. 8 with Bon Ami at District, setting the tone for a weekend of nonstop celebration.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>The next day, she said the energy soars with Lyrikal\u2019s &#8220;Happy Place&#8221; \u2014 \u201ca joyful night with one of soca\u2019s most magnetic performers, joined by friends for a feel-good celebration of island music and culture.\u201d\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Tomlinson said \u201cFriday, Oct. 10, delivers a double dose of excitement.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>She said the day begins with the Big Bad Breakfast Party at The Deck, hosted by Caribbean power couple Bunji Garlin and Fay-Ann Lyons serving up high-energy performances, alongside a festive breakfast atmosphere.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>\u201cThat night, partygoers will celebrate unity and cultural pride at International Flag Night at Mad House, waving flags from across the globe for a vibrant display of unity through music and dance,\u201d Tomlinson.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>On Oct. 12, she said Jabba Strikes Back takes over District with an all-black attire event blending dancehall, reggae, and soca, powered by a lineup of renowned DJs at ROOFTOP 4.40.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Tomlinson said the weekend wraps on Oct. 13 with Renaissance: Last Lap!
