{"id":5794,"date":"2025-07-30T14:26:38","date_gmt":"2025-07-30T14:26:38","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/islandflavaradio.com\/index.php\/2025\/07\/30\/mojo-morgan-dreams-about-jamaica-love\/"},"modified":"2025-07-30T14:26:38","modified_gmt":"2025-07-30T14:26:38","slug":"mojo-morgan-dreams-about-jamaica-love","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/islandflavaradio.com\/index.php\/2025\/07\/30\/mojo-morgan-dreams-about-jamaica-love\/","title":{"rendered":"Mojo Morgan \u2018Dreams\u2019 about \u2018Jamaica Love\u2019"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">GRAMMY-winning artist and founding member of Morgan Heritage, Mojo Morgan, has released his anthemic new single &#8220;Dreams,&#8221; announcing his long-awaited EP &#8220;Jamaica Love&#8221; for Aug. 29.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Jamaican entertainment publicist Samantha LaPare told <\/span><strong><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Caribbean Life<\/span><\/strong><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> on Monday, July 28, that Mojo&#8217;s &#8220;genre-blending single &#8216;Dreams<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">&#8216;<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> is a song for every hustler, every survivor, and soul who refuses to settle. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">&#8220;Motivational, soulful and uplifting, it&#8217;s a declaration that your dreams are valid, no matter where you come from or what you&#8217;ve been told,<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">&#8220;<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> she added. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">LaPare said Mojo, who was born in Brooklyn and raised in Springfield, Massachusetts, coined his sound as &#8220;Rasta Rock,<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">&#8220;<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> a fusion shaped by the lyrical depth of Bob Dylan and Peter Tosh, the raw spirit of 2Pac and Vybz Kartel, and the emotional textures of Coldplay, The Cranberries, and Phil Collins. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">&#8220;It&#8217;s a lane of his own, global, grounded, and full of heart,<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">&#8220;<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> LaPare said.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Rooted in reggae but infused with country, Americana, and global rhythms, she also said Mojo&#8217;s upcoming EP &#8220;Jamaica Love<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">&#8220;<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> is a &#8220;deeply personal project that honors his (Mojo&#8217;s) homeland, his family legacy, and especially the memory of his late brother and bandmate, Peetah Morgan. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">&#8220;Not only does the EP blend genres, but generations into a timeless sound with no borders featuring collaborations with Gramps Morgan, Popcaan, Sizzla, Maino, Chronic Law, and Mojo&#8217;s own children and nephew, making it as much a family celebration as it is a cultural statement,<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">&#8220;<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> she added. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Co-produced by dancehall super producer Droptop, LaPare said, <\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">&#8220;&#8216; <\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Dreams<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">&#8216;<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> fuses reggae, rock and inspirational energy in a fresh yet familiar way.<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">&#8220;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Droptop, founder of Droptop Records, said, &#8220;Working with Mojo on this record was powerful. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">&#8220;&#8216;<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Dreams<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">&#8216; <\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">isn&#8217;t just a song; it&#8217;s a soundtrack for anyone on the grind,<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">&#8220;<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> he said. &#8220;Coming off recent hits with Popcaan, Skeng, and Chronic Law, I wanted to bring that same energy to something more uplifting.
