{"id":5764,"date":"2025-06-04T13:10:04","date_gmt":"2025-06-04T13:10:04","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/islandflavaradio.com\/index.php\/2025\/06\/04\/artistes-line-up-for-ctos-inaugural-caribbean-cultural-showcase-2\/"},"modified":"2025-06-04T13:10:04","modified_gmt":"2025-06-04T13:10:04","slug":"artistes-line-up-for-ctos-inaugural-caribbean-cultural-showcase-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/islandflavaradio.com\/index.php\/2025\/06\/04\/artistes-line-up-for-ctos-inaugural-caribbean-cultural-showcase-2\/","title":{"rendered":"Artistes line up for CTO\u2019s inaugural Caribbean Cultural Showcase"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.onecaribbean.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Caribbean Tourism Organization<\/a> (CTO) says top Caribbean <\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">artistes<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> are gearing up to bring the rhythm of the Caribbean to Times Square this week when the CTO hosts its first Caribbean Cultural Showcase. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">CTO said on Friday, May 30, that Dominica&#8217;s headliners include Asa Bantan, the dynamic Bouyon music ambassador; Marie-Claire Giraud, the internationally acclaimed jazz and opera singer; and the US-based <a href=\"https:\/\/www.knowourculture.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Know Your Culture<\/a> Dance group. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Two top St. Lucian artistes \u2014 Motto, the high-energy soca sensation, and regional soca powerhouse Teddyson John \u2014 are also featured. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">CTO said additional performers include Kenyo Baly, the soulful singer from Saint-Martin, and Wukkout!, the high-energy New York\u2013based soca dance fitness experience. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">A signature addition to Caribbean Week in New York (CWNY) 2025, the Cultural Showcase takes place <\/span><strong><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">on Thursday, June 5, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.<\/span><\/strong><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> at The Westin New York at Times Square. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">&#8220;This immersive celebration will feature live performances, culinary delights, vibrant artistic displays, exclusive travel offers, and opportunities to win trips to Caribbean destinations,&#8221; CTO said. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">It said the Legendary Supreme Team will set the musical tone for the evening, with confirmed highlights including Grenada&#8217;s traditional Jab Jab and ShortKnee performers and a Jamaican fashion show.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">CTO said participating destinations include Anguilla, Antigua &amp; Barbuda, Barbados, Dominica, Grenada, St. Kitts, St. Lucia, and Saint-Martin, with Sandals Resorts International also set to participate. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">This year&#8217;s Showcase also marks the 20th anniversary of TEMPO Networks, the groundbreaking Caribbean media brand launched during Caribbean Week in 2005. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">&#8220;TEMPO&#8217;s continued presence underscores the powerful connection between Caribbean culture, media, and tourism,&#8221; the<\/span> <span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">CTO said. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Frederick A.
