Brooklyn-based Jammins Events confirmed on Tuesday, May 13, that Beenie Mman, Chris Martin, Kevin Lyttle, and Louie Culture will headline a high-energy show at UBS Arena in Queens on Saturday, May 24, during the Memorial Weekend.<\/p>\n

Dancehall hitmaker Beenie Man is set to triumphantly return to New York City for his first performance in 13 years. <\/span><\/p>\n

Promoter George Crooks promises “an unforgettable night of dancehall energy, legendary hits, and surprise special guest artists,” as Beenie Man takes the stage. <\/span><\/p>\n

With a career spanning decades, Beenie Man is regarded as one of the most seasoned and accomplished performers in dancehall music. <\/span><\/p>\n

His 2001 album Art and Life was certified gold, earning him the GRAMMY for Best Reggae Album. <\/span><\/p>\n

Internationally, he’s known for major collaborations such as the 2002 hit “Feel It Boy” with Janet Jackson and the 2004 remix of “Dude” featuring Ms. Thing. <\/span><\/p>\n

Beenie Man’s catalog boasts dancehall anthems like “Matie,” “Slam,<\/span>” <\/span>“Romie,<\/span>” <\/span>“Old Dog,<\/span>” <\/span>“Dancehall Queen,<\/span>” <\/span>“Who Am I,<\/span>” <\/span>“Girls Dem Sugar<\/span>“<\/span> (with M\u00fda), “King of the Dancehall,<\/span>” <\/span>“Back It Up,<\/span>“<\/span> and “Rum and Red Bull<\/span>“<\/span> featuring Future Fambo.<\/span><\/p>\n

Joining him at UBS Arena is reggae crooner Chris Martin, the 2005 winner of Digicel Rising Stars. <\/span><\/p>\n

Known for hits “Cheaters’ Prayer,<\/span>” <\/span>“Big Deal,<\/span>” <\/span>“Let Her Go,<\/span>“<\/span> and “Is It Love,<\/span>“<\/span> Martin made history last year as the first artist to perform at the 128-year-old Penn Relay Carnival at Franklin Field Stadium in Philadelphia.<\/span><\/p>\n

Also on the lineup are soca hitmakers Kevin Lyttle \u2014 whose global smash “Turn Me On<\/span>“<\/span> captivated audiences worldwide\u2014and Lyrikal, along with reggae stalwart Louie Culture. <\/span><\/p>\n
