Reggae Sumfest CEO Josef \u201cJoe\u201d Bogdanovich confirmed on Monday that Ghanaian-American singer-songwriter Moliy, who has captivated the world with her viral hit \u201cShake It To The Max,\u201d has been added to the impressive roster for Reggae Sumfest 2025.<\/p>\n
The event is slated for Montego Bay, St. James, Jamaica, <\/span>from Sunday, July 13, to Saturday, July 19<\/span><\/strong>, at Catherine Hall Stadium and the Catherine Hall Entertainment Complex. <\/span><\/p>\n \u201c\u2018Jamaica loves Shake It To The Max\u2019,\u201d Bogdanovich told <\/span>Caribbean Life. <\/span><\/strong>\u201cIt is the biggest song on the island right now.\u201d\u00a0 <\/span><\/p>\n Bogdanovich said he met Moliy in New York at Vybz Kartel\u2019s historic back-to-back sold-out concerts in Brooklyn. <\/span><\/p>\n \u201cI knew I wanted her at Reggae Sumfest,\u201d he said. \u201cWe signed the contract soon after, and, as they say, the rest is history.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n Bogdanovich said Moliy will join Yung Bredda and Marcy Chin on Thursday, July 13, at the inaugural Global Fete at Catherine Hall Stadium. <\/span><\/p>\n He said the same night will feature a \u201chigh-energy clash\u201d between sound system titans Tony Matterhorn and Notorious Sound. <\/span><\/p>\n Regarding Global Fete, Bogdanovich added, \u201cWe\u2019re introducing it for the first time this year to highlight the fusion of Afrobeats, hip-hop, reggae, and dancehall.\u201d <\/span><\/p>\n Moliy said \u201cShake It To The Max\u201d began as a simple song and dance posted on social media. <\/span><\/p>\n She said the song quickly went viral on TikTok, becoming her second charting song. <\/span><\/p>\n Moliy said the remix with Shenseea and Skillibeng boosted \u201cShake It To The Max\u2019s\u201d global success.
