{"id":5636,"date":"2025-01-17T16:32:42","date_gmt":"2025-01-17T16:32:42","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/islandflavaradio.com\/index.php\/2025\/01\/17\/one-love-festival-to-debut-in-jamaica\/"},"modified":"2025-01-17T16:32:42","modified_gmt":"2025-01-17T16:32:42","slug":"one-love-festival-to-debut-in-jamaica","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/islandflavaradio.com\/index.php\/2025\/01\/17\/one-love-festival-to-debut-in-jamaica\/","title":{"rendered":"One Love Festival to debut in Jamaica"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Jamaica\u2019s Minister of Tourism Edmund Bartlet says the island\u2019s tourism industry is poised to benefit from the inaugural One Love Festival (OLF) 2025, which will be held on Saturday, March 15, 2025 at Woodstock, Negril, Jamaica.<\/p>\n<p>Event conceptualizer and founder Yasus Afari told <strong>Caribbean Life<\/strong> on Tuesday: \u201cWe are looking to mobilize thousands of music lovers from the tri-state area and other parts of the USA for the OLF, which will be an eclectic, one day and night music festival, offering a (w)holistic cultural experience into the inspiring life and soul of Jamaica.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Afari said the event is being promoted by SenYAcum in association with Woodstock and IMAGES LLC in New York.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOne Love Festival is designed as a safe, inspirational space where lovers of Jamaican music, and culture in Jamaica and in the Diaspora can meet and greet and celebrate life in safety, one love and comfort,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIn fact, we are pivoting on our mantra of &#8216;One Earth, One Love, One Humanity,&#8217; in the spirit of our national pledge,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n<p>Afari said that the \u201cevening to night session\u201d starts with an innovative opening ceremony, with the introduction of local and international celebrity guests and special invited delegations visiting from abroad, along with sponsors, dignitaries and other public personalities.<\/p>\n<p>He said this will be followed by the main event, \u201ca live band music experience, the One Love Festival 2025 show, featuring an impressive array of national and international performers, with clean, intelligent reggae music.\u201d<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_69920\" style=\"width: 710px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-69920\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-69920\" src=\"https:\/\/www.caribbeanlife.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/01\/one-love-festival-to-debut-in-jamaica-2025-01-23-nk-cl01.jpg?w=700\" alt=\"Jamaican Reggae singer Bushman.\" width=\"700\" height=\"467\" title=\"\"><p id=\"caption-attachment-69920\" class=\"wp-caption-text\"><span class=\"image-caption\">Jamaican Reggae singer Bushman. <\/span><span class=\"image-credit\">Photo by Winston Rodney<\/span><\/p><\/div>\n<p>Afari said confirmed performers include veteran singer Ken Bothe, Bushman, Junior Toots, Anslom from Papau New Guinea, Brian Holt, Nkechi (the Black Goddess), Yasus Afari &amp; All Star Drummers, Step by Step Band and others.<\/p>\n<p>Afari said the day time session includes activities such as Breakfast at Sunrise; Beach Yoga; The Reasoning Temple &#8211; The Cultural Needle Eye; Jamaica Music Museum\u2019s Display Presentation; the Intergenerational Health and Wealth Creation Sessions; Integrated Arts Workshops; Water Sports; and a Celebrity Lunch coupled with a Food and Nutrition Demo\/Tasting.<\/p>\n<p>In addition, he said the University of the West Indies&#8217; Jamaica Language Unit will host \u201cPatwa Taakin\u201d language, \u00a0music \u2013 from Ska and reggae to dancehall \u2013 and supper at sunset.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Jamaica\u2019s Minister of Tourism Edmund Bartlet says the island\u2019s tourism industry is poised to benefit from the inaugural One Love Festival (OLF) 2025, which will be held on Saturday, March 15, 2025 at Woodstock, Negril, Jamaica.
