Adena Myrie<\/a>, the younger sister of Buju Banton<\/a>, the legendary GRAMMY Award-winning reggae\/dancehall artiste, has teamed up with New Jersey-based singer Ras Emmanuel<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n

Adena, an accomplished singer and a finalist in the popular Digicel Rising Stars competition in Jamaica years ago, is a background vocalist on Emmanuel’s “Dancehall Forever<\/span>“<\/span> with Lushy Banton.<\/span><\/p>\n

“Music fans globally are familiar with the name Buju Banton, but many of them may not know that his younger sister, Adena Myrie, is a bad, bad singer,<\/span>“<\/span> Ras Emmanuel told <\/span>Caribbean Life<\/span><\/strong> on Monday. Don’t believe it? Check her out on YouTube.<\/span><\/p>\n

“<\/span>From the first time I heard her sing, I was impressed by her awesome talent, which is why I included her as a background vocalist on my single,<\/span>“<\/span> he<\/span> added. \u00a0“Her<\/span> vocal delivery was exceptional. It blew me away so much that, for my next album, I plan to work with her again. I would like to give her a feature on my next project.<\/span>“<\/span><\/p>\n

Emmanuel said that besides her appearance in the Digicel Rising Stars competition, Adena has recorded several singles, including “Happiness<\/span>“<\/span> and “At Last.”<\/span><\/p>\n

Asked about recording “Dancehall Forever<\/span>“<\/span> with Ras Emmanuel, the 41-year-old songbird, who began her career singing in church, told <\/span>Caribbean Life<\/span><\/strong>, “It has a good vibe just as any other studio session.<\/span><\/p>\n

“I go in the studio, listen and feel the track, and try to deliver to the best of my ability,<\/span>“<\/span> Myrie added.<\/span><\/p>\n

Mark “Buju” Banton<\/span>“<\/span> Myrie is currently regarded as one of the bigger names in reggae \/dancehall music, having just completed his successful North American “Overcomer Tour.”<\/span><\/p>\n

Caribbean Music Report hailed that tour as the most successful solo reggae\/ dancehall music arena tour of the 21st century.<\/span><\/p>\n
