Grammy Award-winning reggae artist Kabaka Pyramid is returning with his latest single, “Rotation,” a vibrant Rub-A-Dub anthem that celebrates the enduring spirit of reggae music while calling on DJs and sound systems worldwide to keep the culture alive.
Following two acclaimed solo releases earlier this year, Jamaican entertainment publicist Ronnie Tomlinson told Caribbean Life on Monday, Aug. 10, that “Rotation” marks the next chapter in Kabaka Pyramid’s 2026 musical journey.
Produced by acclaimed French producer Fatbabs, best known for his work with Naâman, Tomlinson, a Brooklyn resident, said “the track pairs a deep, bass-heavy riddim with Kabaka’s unmistakable lyricism, creating a record that is equally suited for dance floors, sound systems and international festival stages.
“While ‘Rotation’ captures the energy and unity of a classic reggae session, its message extends beyond celebration,” said Tomlinson, CEO of the New York-based Destine Media, Inc. “The record is a call to DJs, selectors, and sound systems around the world to continue championing reggae music and its timeless ability to heal, inspire and unite communities.
“At a time when the world is navigating conflict, division and uncertainty, Kabaka Pyramid reminds listeners that reggae remains a powerful force for positivity, consciousness and connection,” she added.
Kabaka Pyramid said: “There’s so much going on in the world right now, but I truly believe if we played more reggae, we’d all be better off.
“Reggae has always had a healing nature,” he added. “It brings people together, lifts spirits and reminds us of our shared humanity.”
Kabaka Pyramid said “Rotation” is his “way of encouraging DJs, selectors and sound systems everywhere to keep that energy alive by keeping reggae in rotation.”
Tomlinson said that, since capturing the Grammy Award for “The Kalling”, Kabaka Pyramid has remained “one of reggae’s most respected voices, recognized for combining sharp lyricism, musical versatility and purposeful messages that resonate with audiences across generations.”
She said “’Rotation’ continues that tradition while delivering an infectious anthem designed for the summer season and beyond.
“With its irresistible groove, authentic Rub-A-Dub feel, and universal message, ‘Rotation’ is poised to become a staple in DJ sets, reggae festivals and sound system sessions around the world,” Tomlinson added.
“Rotation” is available now on all major digital streaming platforms.
